Throughout the past two years, mental health clinics have been faced with a large influx of patients. According to the World Health Organization, this has grown by 25%. The project aims to reflect the different experiences of anxiety through portraiture and colour. During the sessions each participant suffering from anxiety was asked to choose a colour to identify their emotions. This project intends to shine a light on how people have different coping mechanisms to go about their day. The use of the theory of semiotics in portraiture is explored.
